For this indoor 'vidhi mandap', I created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The backdrop is a wall of soft pink flowers featuring a golden 'Om' symbol, surrounded by glowing candle stands and traditional red seating.

Whether you choose a grand outdoor setup or a cozy indoor stage, the layout is everything. I always prioritize aisle clearance and sightlines, because your mandap needs to look beautiful in photos while remaining spacious enough for your pandit ji and family to move comfortably during the rituals.
The mandap is truly the heart of the wedding. Since 1983, I have learned that the best designs are the ones that balance aesthetic beauty with practical flow.
Outdoor Mandaps & Mumbai Weather
Living in Mumbai, we know the drill. If you are planning an open-air wedding, I always have a backup plan for 'bin mausam barsaat' (unseasonal rain). I use professional-grade aluminum trussing to ensure your canopy is safe, structurally sound, and beautiful. We can drape the ceiling with fairy lights or heavy florals, but the foundation must be solid before we add the magic.
Indoor & Banquet Setups
For indoor halls, the challenge is working with the existing ceiling height and room geometry. I often use a mix of high-quality silk flowers for volume and fresh roses or orchids for the borders. This creates a full, lush look without overwhelming the venue space. If you want a traditional vibe, we can incorporate a classic 4-pillar structure, or if you prefer something modern, we can go with a minimalist floral arch.
Designing Your Experience
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all. When we discuss your mandap, I want to know about your ceremony type—are we looking at a Punjabi Anand Karaj, a South Indian wedding, or a classic North Indian vidhi? Each requires specific seating arrangements and ritual spacing. My goal is to ensure that when you walk down the aisle, the entrance feels like a film set, and the mandap feels like a sacred, personal space for your 'Din Shagna Da' moment.
