Festive Home & Entrance Styling
Entrance Statement
- Doorway Arch: Full floral framing of the main door using thick marigold garlands or twisted fabric ropes.
- Props: Includes 2 large brass Urlis (water pots) with floating flowers or candles placed at the threshold.
Interior Spot Styling
- Staircase: Application of spiraling marigold strings or fabric sashes along the handrails (approx. 20 running feet).
- Puja Corner: Enhancement of existing home temple with fresh flower veils and floor rangoli stencils.
Lighting & Accessories
- Ambient Light: Installation of fairy light curtains or string lights in balconies and windows.
- Traditional Elements: Includes hanging brass bells, Torans, and LED candles on console tables.
Mata Ki Chowki & Satsang Setup
Main Deity Stage
- Backdrop: 10ft to 12ft wide setup featuring a high-resolution flex print of the Deity or a Red draped background.
- Framing: Floral borders using a mix of real marigolds and artificial tuberoses or fabric tassels.
- Throne: Elevated platform with red velvet carpet and designated chowki for the idol.
Guest Seating Configuration
- Capacity: Floor seating arrangement for approximately 50 to 70 guests.
- Furnishing: Includes rental of cotton mattresses (gaddas), clean white bedsheets, and decorative bolsters in Red or Gold themes.
- Layout: Linear rows arranged facing the stage with a central aisle.
Entrance & Ceiling
- Welcome: Easel stand with a custom welcome sign.
- Ceiling: Suspended floral strings and bells above the idol area to create a canopy effect.

Themed Floral Backdrop
- Dimensions: Options ranging from 6ft x 6ft up to 10ft x 8ft tailored to ceiling height.
- Material: High-density premium artificial hydrangeas, roses, and carnations that remain fresh for the full 10-day festival.
- Design: Choice of solid monochromatic walls, gradient ombre shading, or traditional marigold framing.
Idol Platform (Makhara)
- Structure: Stepped or tiered wooden platform to elevate the idol.
- Finishing: Draping in satin/velvet fabric matching the floral theme or cladded with floral sheets.
- Accessories: Placement of acrylic Om or Swastik symbols.
Lighting & Ambiance
- Chandelier: Suspension of a small-to-medium crystal chandelier near the idol.
- Accent Lights: 2-3 LED par cans or focus lights to highlight the deity.
Logistics
- Setup: On-site assembly by a team of 2-3 decorators.
- Duration: Rental covers the standard 1.5, 5, or 10-day Ganpati period.

Ganpati & Festival Decor
Welcoming Bappa home is always special. I do dense, lush mandaps with artificial flowers, go bold with ombré domes, or keep it classic with bright marigold and bell combos. Sometimes, I go all out with modern neon arches or crystal chandeliers for a twist. I even did a custom pink floral setup for Surya Kumar Yadav - that was mazedaar (so much fun).
Prayer Corners & Puja Setups
Creating sacred corners is close to my heart. For Mata ki Chowki and Navratri, I design vibrant backdrops with reds, whites, and all the goddess energy. If you want those “Gurudwara feels” at home, I can do serene white floral canopies for Akhand Path. Mahashivratri, Diwali, ya koi bhi tyohaar (or any festival) - I set up personalized puja setups with floral arches and traditional touches.
Party Ready For Diwali & Holi
Diwali means marigold arches, glowing diyas, and a welcoming entrance. Holi? I bring out all the color with garlands, tassels, and “RANG BHARSE” vibes.

Hi, I’m Shalini from Amar Decorators. Been doing this since 1983, so you can say I grew up with flowers and fairy lights. From wild shadi wala ghar (wedding home) chaos to peaceful mataki chowki, I’ve seen it all. Once, we shifted a whole mehendi setup indoors in minutes - thanks to bin mausam barsaat (unseasonal rain). We don’t quit, ever. Each event, big or small, is a blessing for us. Our happiness? Making your dreams look real.
