When I shoot, I don't just want the final plate to look good—I want to show the story behind it. Whether we are in the kitchen capturing that satisfying cheese pull or setting up studio lights for a hero advertising shot, I use tethered shooting so you can see every image on my laptop in real-time. This allows us to adjust the garnish or the lighting instantly, ensuring that by the time we wrap, we have exactly the visual narrative your menu or campaign needs.
Great food content is about more than just a camera and a plate. It is about understanding the texture, the movement, and the specific vibe of your brand. My approach balances technical precision with a relaxed, natural feel.
My Technical Approach
- Commercial Food Photography: I focus on highlighting the essential textures—the crispness of a crust, the gloss of a sauce, or the freshness of farm-to-plate ingredients. I use strobe lighting and diffusers to create a consistent, high-end look suitable for everything from Zomato and Swiggy menus to billboard campaigns.
- Cinematic Videography: For social media content, I love incorporating motion. This includes stop-motion animation for fun, eye-catching Reels, and ASMR sound recording to capture the real sounds of cooking—the sizzle of a pan or the crunch of a fresh salad—which adds an authentic layer to your brand story.
- Collaborative Process: I work with you from the start. We will discuss your mood boards and shot lists before the shoot date. During the session, I am hands-on with food styling adjustments to ensure the food looks appetising, not just 'styled'.
