About Interactive Workshops
Unlike standard classroom sessions, our library workshops are designed to be low-pressure spaces where you practice by doing. Whether you are joining an 'Atelier de lecture' (read-aloud workshop) for pronunciation or a graphic novel session for creative inspiration, you are expected to make mistakes, play games, and engage with native speakers and experts. Come prepared to interact—these sessions rely on participant energy as much as our instructor's guidance.
We believe that language is a tool for connection, not just a subject to be graded. That is why our workshop calendar at Lodi Estate is curated to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-life expression. From our 'Jeux de Société' (board games) sessions that help A1 beginners break the ice, to advanced creative writing workshops where you craft short stories under the guidance of published authors, every event is a chance to use French in a non-formal setting.
Our workshops are intentionally diverse. We host calligraphy artists like Nikheel Aphale to explore the intersection of Indian and French scripts, and invite writers like Johary Ravaloson to teach narrative building. These are not lecture-heavy courses; they are interactive labs. If you are an A2 student looking to boost your confidence, our 'Atelier de lecture à voix haute' (read-aloud) provides a safe environment to practice articulation without the anxiety of a formal exam.
Most sessions are designed to be bilingual or English-friendly, ensuring that your lack of vocabulary does not hinder your participation. Whether you are looking to brush up on conversation or explore niche cultural topics like Bandes Dessinées (comics), you will find a dedicated space in our library. We keep the groups intimate to ensure everyone gets a chance to speak, create, and collaborate. You do not need to be a student of our regular courses to participate—these workshops are open to anyone curious enough to step into our library.
