About Chess Academy: Learn to Strategize
I keep my batches strictly limited to six students so every child receives personal attention. Each sixty-minute session is split, with fifteen minutes on theory followed by forty-five minutes of actual gameplay, because I believe kids learn best by doing rather than just listening.
Our Chess Approach
I treat chess as a foundation for life skills. Whether your child is just learning how the pieces move or is ready to compete, I have four levels of training to guide them.
What you can expect in class:
- Structured Gameplay: We use FIDE-compliant vinyl boards and weighted pieces to give kids a professional experience. We also incorporate digital chess clocks for those training for speed, blitz, and rapid formats.
- Curriculum: We cover everything from basic piece movement and notation writing to complex tactics and endgame strategies. My goal is to build patience and foresight.
- Internal Tournaments: Theory is useless without practice. I host regular internal rapid chess tournaments to help students overcome stage fright and apply their strategies under pressure. It is amazing to see their confidence grow with every match.
