Using symbols like broken mirrors and empty boats, I transform abstract emotions into digital stories that capture the quiet struggles and hidden beauty of everyday life.

This piece is a visual representation of my motto: "I dance with my defeats." A figure lies on a shattered mirror that reflects a swirling sky and green grass, finding a place of rest and acceptance among the broken pieces.

A broken mirror does not reflect a broken world, but a reconfigured one. Each shard captures a different part of a swirling landscape, creating a new, mosaic-like whole. It’s a metaphor for putting the pieces of a shattered life back together to create a new kind of beauty.

A self-portrait exploring themes of fragmentation and identity. The artist's face is seen through the shards of a broken mirror, his reflection fractured and multiplied. It’s a visual for the internal conflicts and the brokenness one feels in love and life.

A tribute to the Japanese Ukiyo-e style that influenced Van Gogh, this piece shows a surfer riding "The Great Wave off Kanagawa." It's paired with a quote about surrendering to life's changes, a visual metaphor for letting life flow through you.

An abstract piece about surviving defeat. Three paintbrushes drip color, their forms blurred and indistinct, representing the tools of the artist after a struggle. The image is paired with a Chekhov quote about the surprising nature of the defeats one has survived.

A simple, melancholic image of an empty boat on calm water. Its reflection, however, is not the boat, but the small, yellow house from Arles. It’s a visual poem about loneliness and the memory of a home that has been left behind.

The night sky is shattered like glass, with a brilliant light pouring through the hole. It’s a visual interpretation of Rumi's famous line: "The wound is the place where the Light enters you," suggesting that our breaking points can become sources of illumination.

A figure lies on a grassy hill, their shadow stretching out into the shape of Christ the Redeemer. It's a piece about finding a sense of expansiveness and grace in nature, spreading your arms to embrace the world.

A message of hope for a new year. In a ruined, dark building, the remaining stained-glass windows cast brilliant beams of colored light onto the floor, illuminating the debris. It symbolizes that even in destruction, light and beauty can find a way to shine through.

About Metaphors in Brushstrokes: Abstract Reflections

While these works are created entirely on a digital canvas, I focus on replicating the raw, textured feel of traditional impasto brushstrokes. Whether you are looking to license a piece for a commercial campaign or commission a custom illustration for your home, the goal remains the same: to find a visual language for the things we rarely say out loud.
