A fusion of classic Indian craftsmanship and contemporary silhouettes. Custom sherwanis and achkans designed for your wedding and special occasions, created in my Delhi studio.

This black sherwani is a study in modern royalty, featuring an attached metallic gold neck drape that replaces a traditional necklace. The clean lines and sharp tailoring make it a sophisticated choice for a groom's reception look.

A showcase of two of my signature sherwani styles. On the left, an ivory piece with a stole and contrasting collar. On the right, a fully embroidered mint green sherwani set, demonstrating the range from classic elegance to contemporary color.

This collection of dark-toned sherwanis highlights my use of texture and embellishment. From the asymmetrical black velvet piece to the heavily embroidered charcoal grey achkan, each design is for the man who appreciates subtle yet impactful luxury.

An ivory bandhgala jacket intricately detailed with blush peach and rose gold thread embroidery. The delicate jaal work and floral boota motifs create a look of timeless sophistication, perfect for a daytime wedding or elegant formal event.

This ivory Indo-Western shrug set, named 'Pragyan', features a long, open-front jacket with dense, garden-inspired embroidery. Paired with a handwoven geometric-patterned kurta and cigarette trousers, it exemplifies my layered, fusion-forward approach.

A mannequin displays a beige sherwani with asymmetrical floral embroidery that cascades down one shoulder and across the body. This piece highlights my technique of using embroidery to create movement and a modern artistic feel.

A versatile collection for any wedding event. This video showcases a white embroidered bandhgala, a lemon bandi set, and a mirror-work kurta, offering options from the main ceremony to the sangeet.

About this collection

My sherwanis and achkans rely on half-canvas and full-canvas construction, depending on the fabric and structure you choose. This approach does more than hold the shape of the garment; it allows the jacket to mold to your body over time, providing a level of comfort and precise fit that off-the-rack alternatives cannot match.

When you walk into my studio in Shahpur Jat, the process is about translating your personal style into a garment. I focus on merging traditional Indian embroidery techniques—like Zardosi and wired jaal work—with modern, clean-lined Western cuts.

For my Heirloom Ceremonial Sherwanis, I use full floating canvas, which is hand-stitched. This is a labor-intensive method, but it is necessary for the structure to move naturally with you. For the fusion achkans, I often work with imported Italian wool (Super 110s and 120s) or premium jacquard weaves to give you that sharp, modern look without feeling weighed down.

Every piece is made to order, and for higher-end sherwanis, I include 2-3 fitting sessions. This ensures the proportions are perfect before the final hand-embroidery is applied. Whether you prefer the weight of raw silk and velvet for a traditional ceremony or the lightness of fusion construction for a reception, I adjust the techniques to fit the occasion. If you have specific ideas about closures, lapels, or the balance between embroidery and fabric texture, we can incorporate those details during your initial consultation.

I am Arun Kaushik. At my studio in Shahpur Jat, I focus on building outfits that bridge the gap between traditional Indian craftsmanship and clean, modern silhouettes. I work directly with you to ensure the final piece feels like an extension of your own style, rather than just another wedding costume.
