Scar and Stretch Mark Reduction Treatment
Using US FDA-approved Alma lasers to resurface skin, reduce texture irregularities, and fade stubborn marks at our RT Nagar clinic.
The Alma iPixel laser is my primary tool for treating stretch marks and other textural scars. It works by promoting new dermis synthesis, and as my client confirms, the treatment is very tolerable.
The Alma ClearLift laser is highly effective for scar removal on various parts of the body, not just the face. Here, you can see how the laser works to resurface the skin and reduce the appearance of a scar on the elbow.
About Scar and Stretch Mark Reduction
We use the Alma iPixel fractional laser to stimulate collagen and level out skin texture. This process requires a series of monthly sessions because your skin needs time to heal and rebuild between treatments. It involves a mandatory numbing phase to keep you comfortable, and you will need to plan for a few days of minor social downtime as the skin heals.
How We Approach Scar Reduction
Skin texture issues, whether from surgical procedures, injuries, or stretch marks, require a clinical approach to see genuine results. At Aesthetic+ Clinic, we avoid quick fixes in favor of medical-grade laser technologies that trigger your skin's natural healing response.
The Technology: Alma iPixel and ClearLift
We utilize the Alma Harmony XL Pro platform for all resurfacing treatments. The choice of tool depends on the depth and nature of the mark:
- Alma iPixel: This is our primary tool for deep scars and stretch marks. It uses a stamping technique to create controlled micro-injuries in the dermis. This forces the body to produce new collagen and elastin, effectively filling in indentations and smoothing uneven surfaces.
- Alma ClearLift: Often used for more superficial texture concerns, this Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser delivers photo-acoustic energy to remodel the skin without damaging the surface layer. It is a preferred option for those who want results with zero downtime.
What to Expect During Treatment
We prioritize patient comfort and safety above all else. For iPixel sessions, we apply a high-strength numbing cream 30 to 45 minutes before the procedure to minimize discomfort. During the session, you may feel a hot, prickly sensation.
Post-procedure, the skin will appear red and may develop a grid-like pattern. This is a normal part of the healing process. We provide cooling compresses immediately after the session to soothe the area. You should expect about 3 to 5 days of minor social downtime as the skin naturally scabs over and peels. We always conclude with the application of non-comedogenic moisturizers and high-SPF sunscreen to protect the treated area.
