About this collection
You might see me on a panel debate or a podcast, but my media presence is not just about the screen. It is an extension of my courtroom practice where I analyze how policy and legislation, like the recent changes to criminal laws, actually affect the man on the street. Understanding the 'why' behind a law is just as critical as knowing the 'what' of the statute, and I bring that same analytical rigor to every case I handle.
My work in the public domain, whether on news networks like Republic or on legal podcasts, is driven by a simple belief: the system needs checks and balances. When I argue, I don't just quote sections. I look at the intent of the legislature and the rights of the individual. This approach is what I bring to my practice at the Supreme Court and High Courts.
Why my analysis matters to your case
When you engage me for a legal matter, you are not just getting an advocate who files papers. You are getting someone who understands the intersection of public policy, criminal law, and constitutional rights.
- Criminal Law & Financial Offenses: My media discussions often revolve around PMLA, bail procedures, and economic offenses. This helps me stay sharp on current precedents and government interpretations, which I apply directly when drafting SLPs or arguing for bail.
- Constitutional Rights: Whether it is a public interest issue or a private dispute, I look for the equity in the law. If a state action is ultra vires, I challenge it. If a law is being applied unfairly, I argue for its reinterpretation.
- Beyond the Law: My interest in human rights, evidenced by my documentary work on Kashmiri Pandit rights, keeps me grounded in the human element of justice. Law is not just black and white. It is often about protecting the individual against the machinery of the state.
If you have a complex legal challenge that requires someone who understands both the theory of the law and the reality of the courtroom, I am ready to help. We can discuss your legal strategy, review the merits of your case, and decide on the best path forward.
Siddharth Praveen Acharya
I treat the law as a dynamic field where equity must meet the statute. Whether I am arguing before the Supreme Court or discussing constitutional matters on a national platform, my approach remains grounded in hard facts, research, and a deep sense of justice for my clients.
