When you order a portrait doll, you are getting more than a toy. I start by reviewing the photos you provide to understand the subject's personality. I select the right cotton-blend yarn to match skin tones and clothing colors. If you have specific details like a favorite hoodie, a specific hairstyle, or glasses, I crochet those into the structure rather than just adding them as afterthoughts.
For dolls that require posing, I include an internal wire armature to give them some stability. Every piece is stuffed with high-grade hypoallergenic polyester fiberfill, making them soft but sturdy enough to hold their shape for years.
Because I work from my home in Ukhrul, Manipur, I take my time with each commission. I do not rush, because rushing ruins the details.
