The ACE Training Method: Scientific Swimming Coaching
We do not believe in mindless laps. At Ace Aquatic Academy, every drill is calculated. We use video analysis and biomechanics to turn technique into pure speed.
Technique is everything. I am reviewing race footage with a swimmer, breaking down her biomechanics frame by frame. This data driven approach allows us to identify specific areas for improvement that are invisible to the naked eye.
This video captures a swimmer executing a powerful butterfly stroke during a training set. We train our swimmers to maintain technique even under fatigue, simulating race conditions to ensure they are prepared to perform when it counts.
Here, our swimmers use kickboards to isolate their leg muscles and improve kicking technique. We use training aids like these strategically to focus on specific components of the stroke, building a stronger foundation for overall speed.
Swimmers using snorkels and fins to work on their underwater dolphin kick and body alignment. These tools help swimmers focus on their core and streamline without having to worry about breathing, allowing them to perfect their form.
I regularly conduct swimming clinics at schools and clubs to share our philosophy of efficient swimming. This video shows me working with a group of young swimmers during a camp, teaching them the fundamentals of correct stroke mechanics in an engaging way.
Poolside coaching is where real time adjustments happen. I work closely with each swimmer, providing immediate feedback on their form and strategy during training sets. This hands on approach ensures that good habits are built and reinforced daily.
A group of swimmers gathered around the laptop for a video analysis session. We foster a collaborative environment where athletes learn not only from my feedback but also by observing and understanding the techniques of their teammates.
About The ACE Training Method
You won't find us swimming endless, empty laps. My coaching starts with video analysis. We record your stroke, pull up the footage on a laptop poolside, and break down your biomechanics frame by frame. You see exactly where your technique leaks energy, and we fix it with specific drills, not just fatigue.
Why We Ban 'Garbage Yardage'
Most swimmers think volume is the only path to improvement. I disagree. We follow the 'No Garbage Yardage' motto because mindless swimming reinforces bad habits. When you train with us in Gurugram, we focus on technical efficiency first. If your catch is weak or your body rotation is off, adding more distance just makes you a faster bad swimmer.
Our Scientific Framework
My approach is built on three pillars:
- Biomechanics Assessment: We analyze your underwater and surface footage to pinpoint drag.
- Targeted Drills: We use tools like snorkels, fins, and pull buoys to isolate components of your stroke. We are not just wearing gear; we are training specific muscle memory.
- Dryland Conditioning: Water time is for technique. We handle endurance and strength building with resistance bands and dryland work outside the pool.
Progress Tracking
You do not have to guess if you are improving. We conduct monthly time-trials to measure objective speed changes. Whether you are aiming for district-level competition or just trying to master the butterfly stroke, my job is to ensure every session moves the needle toward your personal best.
