Cafe & Restaurant Favorites
For cafes and restaurants, the menu photo is your most powerful sales tool. I create images that make your dishes look as delicious as they are in person. My focus is on capturing the texture, color, and essence of each dish, whether it's a towering burger, a cheesy pizza, or a delicate fine-dining plate.
A stack of pancakes needs to look fluffy and decadent. I captured the syrup dripping down the sides to create a sense of motion and appetite appeal, making it an irresistible breakfast option.
This classic Indian breakfast of poori and sabzi is shot with dark, contrasting elements to make the colors of the food stand out. The styling with pickles and onions completes the meal.
The key to this cheesy garlic bread shot was to capture the "cheese pull" feel. I used lighting from the side to create depth and highlight the golden-brown crust and gooey cheese.
For this wrap, I shot it cut in half to show the generous, colorful filling inside. This is a great technique for items where the interior is the main attraction.
This shot captures a chef's finishing touch, adding a sense of artistry and care to the dish. The elegant restaurant background and fine china position this as a premium dining experience.
A classic burger and fries combo. The dark, rustic styling gives it a gourmet pub feel, while the lighting ensures the burger looks juicy and the fries look crispy.
This image explains my philosophy: photography is both art and science. I carefully composed this shot to balance the colors and textures, leading the viewer's eye straight to the hero burger.
These bao buns are styled on a dark wooden board to make their soft, white texture stand out. The vibrant green fillings add a fresh contrast, making the dish look light and flavorful.
For these dimsums, I used a traditional bamboo steamer as a prop to create an authentic context. The lighting is soft, focusing on the delicate texture of the wrappers and the savory filling.
This shot shows how food can be presented in a cafe setting, complete with books and other props. It creates a lifestyle feel, helping customers imagine themselves enjoying the dish.
