Custom Giant Puppets and Mascots for Festivals
Whether it is a parade or a private party, my giant puppets and mascots bring a sense of wonder and tradition to any stage.
A giant puppet of a Rajasthani man stands tall on stage during the Anjas Mahotsav. These figures are designed to be focal points for large events, adding a unique and traditional touch to any modern stage setup.
This video shows the process of fabricating a giant puppet head from a block of foam. We start with a client's design and carefully carve and shape the material to create a large, durable, and lightweight final product for a dance company collaboration.
Our custom-made mascot puppets are perfect for bringing energy to any celebration. This video shows one of our creations interacting with guests and dancing at a private Bollywood-themed party.
This video gives a wider view of the event space for the Bollywood night. Our mascot puppet was a key part of the entertainment, showing how these characters can integrate into different event themes and lighting setups.
A proud moment for our entire team, posing on stage with our giant festival puppets. This shows the scale of our work, from the tall sun and star characters to the large traditional figures, all created for a grand public performance.
About Giant Puppets for Festivals & Events
When we build these 8-12ft structures, we focus on weight as much as the look. Using high-density foam and bamboo frames, we ensure they are lightweight enough for your performers to move comfortably for hours, even during outdoor processions.
If you have a rough sketch or just a theme for your event, that is where we begin. I work with high-density Styrofoam for the head and hands, layering them with papier-mâché for durability while keeping the total weight low. For the body, we use bamboo or PVC frames covered in breathable fabrics like cotton or satin, which allows for natural movement and wind flow.
Whether you need a mascot for a Bollywood-themed party or a 12ft traditional figure for a grand festival entrance, the fabrication process is the same. We focus on articulation, such as simple head rotations and arm movements that are easy to manage on stage. This approach ensures the puppet is not just a prop, but an active participant in your event.
Logistics are important for these large-scale builds. Because of their size, you will need to arrange for a tempo or a small truck to collect them from my workshop. I am always open to collaborations with dance troupes, theatre companies, and event planners who want to bring something fresh to the stage. Let us talk about your vision and see how we can build it.
