Traditional 'Chapra' & Eco-Friendly Decor Setup
Bringing the pure, earthy feel of nature into your home rituals. We use real banana leaves, fresh flowers, and traditional brass lamps for an authentic setup.
This simple and elegant pooja setup uses a backdrop of fresh banana leaves, hanging jasmine garlands, and traditional brass Kuthu Vilakku lamps. It’s a perfect example of how natural elements can create a serene and sacred ambiance.
Here you can see my team creating a Haldi backdrop on a terrace using a wall of fresh leaves and garlands of orange marigolds. This is a simple, beautiful, and budget-friendly option for an authentic ceremony.
About Natural 'Chapra' & Eco-Friendly Decor
When we build a 'Chapra' style backdrop, we skip the plastic and focus on natural textures. We source fresh banana stems and green leaves locally to ensure the setup stays vibrant throughout your function. If you are planning this at home, keep in mind that these traditional structures need a bit of clearance for the brass lamps we place on either side. It is a setup that looks great in photos, but even better when you can smell the fresh flowers in person.
Why Choose Natural Decor?
Many families come to us because they want a setup that feels rooted in tradition, not something that looks like it came from a factory. By using banana leaves, coconut leaves, and fresh marigolds, we create an atmosphere that feels sacred and calm.
What Goes Into Your Setup
- The Foundation: We use heavy banana stems (Baale Kamba) and woven leaves for that classic, textured backdrop. It provides a sturdy, authentic look that plastic curtains just cannot match.
- Floral Accents: We hand-pick fresh Marigolds and Sevanthige. These don't just look good; they bring a natural fragrance that fills the room.
- Lighting & Props: A traditional setup is incomplete without brass. We include Kuthu Vilakku lamps, which provide a warm, steady glow that makes evening poojas or ceremonies feel special.
Our Process
We are based in Hassan, but our team frequently travels to Bengaluru, Mysore, and Chikkamagaluru for these setups. When you book us, we handle the transport, the assembly, and the cleanup. We know these ceremonies often happen in living rooms or small halls, so we plan the dimensions—usually 8x8ft or 10x8ft—to fit your space without making it feel crowded.
If you have a specific family tradition or a particular type of flower you want, just let us know. We treat your celebration as our own, and we make sure the setup is ready well before your guests arrive.
