I teach you how to turn your balcony or terrace into a thriving green oasis using simple, organic, and sustainable methods. Let's grow together, one pot at a time. 🪴

Summer can be very stressful for plants. I share my top tips to save your plants from the heat, including when to water, how to use mulch, and why you should group plants together.

Pruning is very important for plants like hibiscus to encourage more flowers. The best time to do it is in late winter or early spring. Here, I show you how to prune and what to do after.

Cocopeat is a great addition to potting soil, but it must be prepared correctly. I will show you how to expand the compressed block and wash it to remove salts before using it for your plants.

This is part one of my fruit plant repotting series. I show you how I prepare the new pots and the special soil mix I use to give them a healthy new home.

I finally repotted all my fruit plants into individual pots. They were sharing pots before due to space, but now they will have more room to grow.

Some of my flower plants grew too big for their pots, so I transplanted them into a ground space. I will show you how to do this in the evening to reduce shock to the plant.

Now is the right time to start growing winter vegetables. Here I am setting up my grow bags and getting them ready for planting saplings and seeds.

About this collection

A truly healthy garden depends on your soil mix. Rather than relying on generic, store-bought soil that often compacts, I teach you to create your own signature blend using garden soil, cocopeat, and compost. This specific ratio creates the perfect drainage and nutrient balance that your container plants need to thrive through our changing seasons.

Building Your Green Sanctuary

Gardening in a city comes with its own unique challenges, like limited space and the harsh summer heat. But you don't need a farm to grow fresh vegetables or beautiful blooms. I focus on container gardening that works for balconies and terraces, helping you set up an environment where plants feel at home.

The Heart of Gardening: Soil & Nutrition

Your plants only eat what you provide. I avoid chemical fertilizers completely. Instead, we focus on soil enrichment using traditional, natural methods:

  • Vermicompost & Neem Cake: These are my staples for building strong roots and preventing soil-borne pests.
  • Liquid Vitalizers: I show you how to make nutrient-rich feeds using simple kitchen waste like onion peels and used tea powder.
  • Balancing the Blend: A successful container garden uses a 40:30:30 ratio of garden soil, cocopeat, and compost. This mix ensures your pots stay light yet nutrient-dense.

Seasonal Care & Maintenance

Plants behave differently throughout the year, and your care routine must adapt.

  • Summer Protection: I use mulching with coconut husk to keep the soil cool and advise on proper watering techniques to avoid evaporation.
  • Pruning for Growth: Whether it is hibiscus or fruit plants, knowing when to prune is essential. I guide you on timing your cuts to encourage bushy, healthy growth rather than leggy stems.
  • Repotting: I help you understand when it is time to move your plants to larger pots so they don't get root-bound, preventing the shock that often causes plants to wither.

My goal is to make gardening simple. It is a slow, patient process, but watching your own plants grow and harvest is a special kind of joy. If you are ready to start, I am here to help you set it up properly.
