About Haldi Ceremony Decoration
We don't just put up drapes and leave. For Haldi, we focus specifically on the seating area—your main photoshoot spot—ensuring the backdrop is dense enough so the wall behind doesn't show, and the lighting is positioned to handle both natural daylight and evening flashes without harsh glares.
Why Your Haldi Setup Needs More Than Just Marigolds
Haldi is often the most high-energy event before the main wedding. It is messy, loud, and spontaneous. If your decor is cheap or flimsy, it won't survive the first hour of the ritual.
My Approach to Haldi Decor:
- The Backdrop: We use high-quality polyester drapes that don't look transparent. For that classic Mumbai look, I mix bright marigolds with white jasmine strings. It is dense, colorful, and stays perfect in photos.
- The Seating: You shouldn't be sitting on a generic plastic chair. I provide traditional brass urlis (shallow decorative bowls) or customized low seating that looks natural in pictures.
- Ceiling & Props: If we are setting up in a garden or terrace, I use Rajasthani umbrellas to add color from above. It changes the look of a plain ceiling instantly and adds a festive canopy effect.
The 'Quality First' Reality: Many people book based on the lowest quote. When you pay 'rate todun' (cut-price) rates, you get cheap plastic props and drapes that fall down halfway through the ritual. My setup is designed to be mobile, and the structures are self-standing, so we don't damage your walls or leave marks in your home.
Planning for Your Space: Whether it's a society clubhouse in Malad or a private rooftop in Bandra, I visit or ask for a video of the space beforehand. This ensures we bring the right size backdrop and don't end up with a 'jugaad' (makeshift) solution on the day of your event.
