Poetry in Brick: Signature Parametric Facades
Brick is more than a wall; it is a canvas for light and air. We use parametric design to turn simple clay into cooling, private, and artistic home exteriors that respond to the Bangalore climate.
This video shows the meticulous construction of the brick facade for 'House Belaku'. It highlights the craftsmanship involved in laying each brick to create the perforated screen, a process that turns a simple material into architectural art.
The completed 'House Belaku' ('House of Light'), where the brick jali screen wraps around the building. This screen provides privacy and filters the harsh sun, creating a comfortable and well-lit environment inside.
The effect of the brick jali screen from the inside. The perforations cast a beautiful, shifting pattern of light and shadow on the floor, creating a dynamic and poetic interior atmosphere.
This collage shows the hands-on process of building the 'Brick Weave House'. From on-site mockups to the careful weaving of each brick through metal rods, it demonstrates our commitment to craftsmanship and detail.

The concept for the award-winning 'Brick Weave House' was inspired by the memory of traditional weaving. We translated this metaphor into an architectural form, creating a unique parametric brick facade that weaves together heritage and modern design.

About this collection
The parametric brick patterns you see are not just for aesthetics. We use digital modelling to weave bricks into jali screens that block harsh heat while inviting a steady breeze. This technique, used in our award-winning Brick Weave House, reduces reliance on air conditioning and provides privacy on dense urban plots.
My work with brick is rooted in the belief that a wall should do more than separate indoors from outdoors. In projects like 'House Belaku,' we used a parametric screen to act as a secondary skin for the building. This screen does three things: it breaks the harsh sun to keep interiors cool, it allows for cross-ventilation through the stack effect, and it creates a private sanctuary.
We do not rely on mass-produced solutions. Every facade is a collaboration with local masons who translate complex digital models into physical reality on site. We build physical mockups to test shadow patterns and light quality before a single brick is laid. This hands-on process ensures that the finished facade is not just an artistic statement but a functional climate-control feature for your home.
Whether you want a traditional jali or a modern parametric weave, the goal is the same. We design exteriors that age gracefully with our city's climate, using local materials that hold up over time and require minimal maintenance. If you are looking to build a home that breathes, this approach to architecture offers a way to blend heritage craft with modern living.

I grew up in a family of sculptors, so I do not just sketch buildings, I like to get my hands dirty. Every parametric brick facade I design is built on the same principle: turning simple clay into a living, cooling skin for your home. Let us talk about how we can build something that breathes together.
