In my dojo, a belt is not given; it is earned. My grading exams are formal, rigorous tests of your Kihon, Kata, and Kumite skills.

It was an honour to have Mr. Muktikant, the sports manager of Legacy School, as our guest of honour for the belt exam at Play Arena.

About this collection

During grading, I look for more than just muscle memory. I watch your Kihon (basics), your Kata (forms), and your Kumite (sparring) to see if you have truly internalized the discipline required for the next rank. It is a formal assessment, and I expect every student to show the grit they have practiced in my classes.

My grading process follows the strict standards of the KIO and WKF, ensuring that when you earn a rank at Sudokann Martial Arts, it holds real weight. Whether you are a white belt aiming for your first yellow belt or a brown belt preparing for the final tests, the process is the same. I start by assessing your Kihon to see if your stances and punch mechanics are solid. Then, we move to Kata, where I judge your flow, power, and focus. Finally, for higher levels, we test Kumite. This is where I see how you handle pressure and maintain control.

These exams are not just about checking boxes. They are milestones. We host them quarterly at venues like Play Arena or my Haralur dojo, creating a formal environment where students perform under the gaze of examiners. It is nerve-wracking, yes, but that is the point. You learn to perform when it matters. Once you pass, you receive an official, recognized certificate. If you are serious about your martial arts journey and want a rank that actually means something, come train with me.
