Stop buying new clothes when you can reimagine what you already own. From turning old sarees into trendy Anarkalis to designing custom kurtas from scratch, let's build your dream wardrobe together.

I love giving old sarees a new life! This is a quick recap of some of my favorite 'saree to suit' transformations. It's a sustainable and creative way to refresh your wardrobe without buying anything new. Let's see what we can create from your closet.

One kurti, four looks! I got this open-button kurti stitched from fabric and show how you can style it in multiple ways: as a simple suit, as a shrug over a top, or paired with different trousers and dupattas for a completely new look.

Another outfit from scratch! I used 2.5 meters of fabric from a local market to create this beautiful kurta. I paired it with an old pant and dupatta, showing how you can create a new festive look by shopping your own closet.

Looking for kurti design ideas? This reel shows four different styles you can get stitched from fabric: an asymmetrical kurti, an open-button shrug style, a Pakistani-style lace kurti, and a traditional A-line cut.

There's a special joy in creating an outfit from scratch. For Teej, I designed this simple and elegant pink mulmul kurta, pairing it with old pants and a dupatta from another suit. It's all about smart styling and feeling beautiful.

Another outfit-from-scratch idea for Navratri. I created this colorful bandhini print kurti and styled it with jeans and heavy oxidized jewellery for a fun fusion look, perfect for Ashtami or Navami puja.

Here’s a fun Navratri look I created from scratch! I used the blouse piece from an old saree to make this vibrant choli with coin and shell details, and paired it with a simple black flared skirt from Meesho. A perfect DIY garba outfit.

A throwback to this outfit I created from scratch. This halter-neck pink printed kurta was made from an old saree. It's a great example of how you can upcycle your mother's old sarees into trendy new outfits.

About DIY & Upcycled Fashion

Upcycling isn't just about saving money, it is about giving your clothes a story. When you turn an old saree or dupatta into a custom suit, you get a silhouette that actually fits your body type and personal taste. I work with you to plan every detail, from fabric sourcing at local markets to giving specific instructions to the tailor, so you don't end up with something that just sits in the closet.
