Global Wildlife and Landscape Photography
From the raw intensity of a lightning storm over a remote waterfall to the quiet stillness of global landscapes, my work documents the wild world in its most honest, dramatic form.
The elements of nature combine in this long-exposure shot of a waterfall at sunset. The image captures the motion of the water, the colors of the sky, and the lushness of the surrounding forest.
A waterfall captured at night, showcasing a multitude of natural elements: the moon, stars, clouds, and even a distant lightning storm, all in one frame. This is a technical long-exposure shot that required patience and a bit of luck.
Another perspective of the waterfall at night, with the flowing water glowing blue under the moonlight and the dramatic clouds lit by a distant storm.
About Global Wildlife & Landscapes
These are not just snapshots. Capturing a waterfall under moonlight or during a lightning storm requires hours of manual focus, calculation, and often a lot of standing in the dark. I use long exposure techniques to balance the ambient light with the natural drama of the landscape, turning static scenes into living memories.
The Science Behind the Shot
My background as an electrical engineer often bleeds into my photography. People look at a night shot of a waterfall and see magic; I see the variables. It is about understanding the ambient light, calculating the exposure time to catch that lightning bolt, and knowing exactly how the sensor will react when the moon is the only light source. This is where my love for 'jugaad' (improvisation) comes in—figuring out how to keep gear stable in the middle of nowhere and how to get the most out of a single frame.
Bringing the Wild Indoors
I believe art should be a portal. When I curate my fine art prints, I am not just looking for technically perfect images; I am looking for moments that stop you in your tracks. Whether you are looking for a statement piece for your living room or something more intimate for a study, these prints are processed with archival quality in mind. We use museum-grade cotton rag and gallery-wrap canvas to ensure that the texture of the rock, the flow of the water, and the drama of the sky stay as vibrant as the day I clicked them.
Commercial and Fine Art Services
If you are an interior designer, a collector, or a brand representative looking for visual storytelling, I approach these projects with the same intensity I bring to my personal expeditions. I am available for:
- Fine Art Prints: Custom sizing and media options for homes and offices.
- Commercial Landscape Commissions: High-resolution imagery for brochures, hospitality interiors, and conservation campaigns.
- Site-Specific Projects: If you have a specific geography or venue you want documented, I bring the gear and the experience to handle the logistics, from remote terrain to unpredictable weather.
Yashpal Rathore
I am an electrical engineer by training and a wilderness chaser by choice. When I photograph landscapes, I am not just looking for a pretty scene; I am looking for the science of the light and the story of the geography. If you are looking for art that brings the raw, untamed world into your living room, you are in the right place.
