About Creative Writing Workshops
We’re a bunch of folks who just love to read and write, and Write Club is where we hang out to do exactly that. Not a formal class, more like a cozy social creative writing club where you can show up as you are. Sometimes we get super nerdy about writing, other times we just want to share a story and laugh over chai.
What Happens at a Session
- We meet every Saturday, online or in person, for about three hours.
- The host kicks things off with a writing prompt session or a fresh theme. Could be anything from horror to science fiction to something inspired by Bollywood or music.
- Everyone gets quiet time to write. No stress, around forty minutes to get your ideas out.
- If you feel like it, you can read your piece for peer feedback from the group. Totally voluntary - no pressure or embarrassment if you’d rather just listen.
- Offline meetups wrap up with coffee and good conversation so you really get that collaborative storytelling group vibe.
Who Shows Up
- Beginners, pros, shy folks, chatty ones - we welcome all. The only thing you need is a desire to write.
Our Vibe
- Respect and kindness come first. We don’t tolerate any bullying or hate, and we make sure everyone feels safe to share their work and opinions.
What You Need
- Something to write with, something to write on, and an open mind. That’s it.

My Story
Hey, we’re Write Club Bangalore. Some call us a community, some just a gang of writers who love stories, chai, and the occasional bizarre plot twist (like a pigeon hiring a dogfather, no kidding). Every Saturday, you’ll find us on a terrace near Trinity Metro, scribbling away, laughing, arguing about metaphors. Old faces, new faces, everyone’s got a story. If you love words, or just want to hang out with people who do, come by.
My Work
Weekly Writing Sessions - We run creative writing workshops in Bangalore and online. Every week, new host, fresh theme, no pressure.
Themed Writing Prompts - Expect wild topics—tragedy, horror, animals as allegories. Keeps things fresh, you’ll never get bored.
Social Writing Club - We’re more about community than competition. You write, read out, get honest reactions, then grab coffee.
Safe Space for Writers - Kindness is a must. We don’t tolerate bullying or harassment, ever.
