About Outdoor Maternity Portraits
For outdoor sessions, I bring a portable changing tent so you can comfortably switch outfits on-location. We schedule these shoots during the golden hour, usually between 4:00 PM and sunset, to get that soft natural light that works best for maternity photography.
When we shoot outdoors, the location does most of the work. I scout spots around the Hubli-Dharwad radius, including Unkal Lake and open fields, to find backdrops that are quiet and scenic. Because nature is unpredictable, I always come with a lighting assistant to manage reflectors and positioning, ensuring your portraits look sharp even in open spaces.
If you want a wider perspective, I incorporate drone photography to capture shots of the landscape with you in the frame. This adds an aerial dimension you cannot get in a studio setting. You are free to bring your partner for the full session or keep it solo if you prefer.
Regarding wardrobe, I suggest fabrics that move well, such as silk sarees or lightweight gowns. While I do not rent the gowns, I am happy to advise on color palettes that will stand out against green foliage or riverside backgrounds. My goal is to keep the process efficient, focused on getting images that look real rather than overly staged.
