Inside My Creative Studio: The Art of Preservation

byVinys GalleriaDelivered across BengaluruView full gallery

Come take a peek at what happens behind the scenes. From drying delicate petals to the final resin pour, this is where your memories take shape.

Every flower framed, every garland held in resin, each tells a story I'm honored to hold. This is a glimpse into my process and a reflection on balancing life as an artist and entrepreneur.

My studio is buzzing with flowers. I'm so grateful to all my clients for trusting me to curate their special flowers into beautiful decor. I love dedicating my time to sorting and organizing these precious memories.

There's something magical about finding your flow and creating in your own space. I'm so grateful for my work, my routine, and the creative freedom that comes with it. This is a glimpse into my world.

As an artist, I put my heart and soul into every piece. When it's time to say goodbye and send them to their forever homes, it's an emotional moment. When you buy handmade, you're buying a piece of an artist's love and time.

Some glimpses of the flower preservation process that I adore. From drying the flowers in silica gel to arranging the delicate petals, every step is part of the magic.

Details matter. My client Priya sent tiny charms with her varmala, and after several trials, I created this beautiful arrangement. It's the attention to these tiny details that makes each piece truly special.

About this collection

I do not just pour resin and walk away. When you send your varmala or wedding flowers, they go through a careful dehydration process in silica sand first. This step takes patience, sometimes days, to make sure the colors stay vibrant before I even touch the resin. It is why I ask for your patience while I work, because you simply cannot rush nature.

Working on your keepsakes is not always clean or polished. My studio is usually covered in flower petals, silica crystals, and half-finished frames. People often see the final, glossy resin block, but they rarely see the work that happens before the pour.

The Preservation Journey

  • Sorting: When your flowers arrive, I spend the first few hours just sorting them. Some are fresh, some are dry, and some have seen better days.
  • Dehydration: I use silica sand to gently draw out moisture. If I rush this, the flowers will rot inside the resin. It is a slow, quiet process that requires a lot of care.
  • Color Correction: Flowers often lose their color during the wedding rituals. I use specific techniques to bring those tones back to life so your keepsake does not look faded or brown.
  • The Pour: Resin is tricky. It needs the right temperature and a dust-free environment to set perfectly. I often work late nights when the house is quiet to avoid bubbles and ensure a glass-like finish.

Whether it is an 8-inch round agate frame or a complex 18-inch teakwood piece, every single item gets the same 'kafi trials ke baad' (after many trials) attention. I am not just a service provider; I am a storyteller preserving your rishta (bond) with your memories. Every piece is handmade, which means your art will have a character that mass-produced items just cannot match.
