Pushing creative boundaries with graphic eyes, wet-look textures, and bold editorial finishes designed for the camera. ✨

A fierce, golden glam look on Nidhi Tapadia. I created a sharp, graphic winged eye and paired it with a wet-look hairstyle and glossy skin for a high-fashion, almost liquid-gold effect.

This artistic pose highlights the interplay of light on the glossy makeup and wet hair. The focus is on texture and reflection, creating a visually striking image perfect for an editorial spread.

A powerful black and white portrait of Kashika Kapoor. The intense, kohl-rimmed smokey eye and wet, slicked-back hair create a dramatic and captivating look that is both timeless and modern.

This close-up in monochrome emphasizes the raw emotion and the artistry of the makeup. The smudged liner and dewy skin texture are central to this moody, atmospheric shot.

Another intense close-up of Kashika. The focus here is on the eyes, framed by bold brows and a deep, smokey shadow, demonstrating my skill in creating powerful, expressive eye makeup.

This shot captures the full effect of the wet hair look, with strands artfully placed across the face. The glossy lips and luminous skin complete this edgy, high-fashion aesthetic.

A slightly different angle of the wet look, showing how it can be styled to look both fierce and elegant. The makeup remains the focal point, with its dark, dramatic eyes.

A color version of the wet look, revealing the subtle bronze and brown tones in the smokey eye and the glossy, nude-pink lip color.

This black and white photo has a classic, cinematic quality. The dramatic makeup and hair styling give it a timeless appeal, suitable for a fashion magazine cover.

A full-frame shot showing the blazer styling with the wet hair and makeup. This demonstrates my ability to collaborate with stylists to create a complete and cohesive editorial vision.

About Editorial & Avant-Garde

When I work on editorial shoots, the lighting dictates everything. While an event look focuses on longevity for a crowd, an avant-garde concept requires precise contouring and texture placement—like glossy eyelids or sharp graphic liners—that specifically catches the studio strobe. It is not just makeup; it is about how the camera lens reads the pigment and light under the set's harsh conditions.

My approach to avant-garde and editorial makeup is rooted in technical precision. Unlike standard glam, these looks are engineered for macro lenses and intense studio lights. I use specific techniques, such as mapping the T-zone to prevent unwanted shine while highlighting high points, to ensure the skin remains flawless without needing heavy post-production editing. Whether we are capturing a 'wet' look with glossy eyelids or experimenting with bold, architectural updos, I coordinate closely with the photographer to adjust intensity based on test shots. My training with industry mentors allows me to bridge the gap between high-fashion fantasy and technical durability. I am comfortable working on set in Mumbai or traveling for shoots, bringing a full kit equipped for quick touch-ups under wind machines or hot lights. From dramatic smokey eyes to sharp, graphic eyeliner, I build each face as a unique canvas, ensuring every pigment and shadow translates exactly as intended on camera. It is about creating a narrative that pops off the screen, turning a standard fashion spread into a visual story. Let's push the limits of what a makeup look can do.

I’m Varsha. I learned from the best—Fat Mu, Meera Sakhrani, and Vipul Chudasma—and now I bring that same creative fire to every editorial look I craft. When I am on set, my goal is to push the envelope and create high-fashion visuals that feel authentic and edgy. Let's make magic happen. 🪄
