Our Teaching Philosophy: Discipline Meets Joy
We believe great voices aren’t born, they’re trained. Our approach balances disciplined riyaaz with a pressure-free environment, ensuring you build a solid musical foundation at your own pace.
A good music class should feel safe, encouraging, and structured yet joyful. We believe in finding the right balance between discipline and expression, which is the key to real musical growth.
The power of 'Riyaz' (practice) is at the core of our philosophy. True progress begins with consistency, helping you build not just your voice, but also your focus and inner strength.
The right way to begin music classes is to focus on the foundation. Your first 90 days are crucial, and we guide you through them to set you up for long-term success.
To build a strong foundation, we focus on understanding notes and rhythm, getting comfortable with your instrument, and learning how to practice correctly in a no-pressure environment.
As you practice regularly, mistakes turn into learning opportunities. Your pitch, timing, and clarity improve, and confidence slowly builds as you start trusting your own sound.
Growth comes from consistency. While talent might start the journey, it is the consistent effort and practice that builds a true musician.
We encourage you to think like a performer. This means learning to play with expression, handling nervousness, and performing without fear, turning learning into a form of self-expression.
About this collection
You won’t find us rushing through songs. We focus on the building blocks—sur (pitch) and taal (rhythm)—in small batches of 4 to 6 students. This ensures you get direct, personalized feedback on your technique rather than just singing along in a crowd, helping you build lasting habits that stick.
Many people walk away from music because they think it requires natural talent they do not have. We treat music as a skill that can be developed through consistent effort. Our methodology at the academy is built on the reality of practice. Whether you are learning vocal Hindustani classical, guitar, keyboard, or tabla, we avoid the 'one size fits all' teaching style.
Why Our Approach Works
- Small Group Attention: With batches capped at 4 to 6 students, instructors have time to correct your posture, hand placement, or breath control in real-time. You are not just a face in the room; you are a student getting specific guidance.
- Discipline as a Foundation: We emphasize 'riyaaz' because it builds more than just musical ability. It develops the patience, memory, and focus required to actually enjoy playing music rather than just struggling through it.
- A Pressure-Free Zone: The studio in HDIL Harmony Mall is designed to feel like a safe space. Mistakes are encouraged here because they are the quickest way to learn what not to do. Whether you are a child or an adult starting later in life, our goal is to help you find your unique sound.
What to Expect
Learning here means going beyond rote memorization. We teach you music theory, ear training, and how to perform with confidence. You get the opportunity to participate in academy showcases to test your skills in front of an audience, turning the theory you learned in class into a practical performance. If you are serious about understanding the nuances of your instrument or your voice, we are here to provide the structure you need.
Vaishali Made Music Academy
I’m Vaishali Made, and I started this academy because I saw too many people give up simply because they thought music was only for the 'talented.' My team and I focus on the discipline of riyaaz to build your confidence, whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time or training your voice for classical singing.
