The Story Behind My Handmade Festive Accessories
People often ask what keeps me going. It is simple: I am deeply mehanti (hardworking). Whether I am designing intricate mehendi or hand-stitching festive accessories, I pour that same dedication into every single piece I create.
People often ask me what drives me, and my answer is simple: I am very 'mehanti' (hardworking). This short clip shows me in my element, focused on the details. Whether it's mehendi or crafting an accessory, I pour this same dedication into every single piece to ensure it's unique and made with care.
About The Heart of My Craft
My accessories are not just off-the-shelf items. When I make a waist belt or a hair bow, I am thinking about how it will hold up during a long night of Garba or a mehendi ceremony. I use durable cotton canvas backings so the belts do not sag, and I personally test the weight of the chokers to ensure they sit comfortably for hours without irritating your skin.
Why I Turned to Crafting
Most people know me for my bridal mehendi, but I have always been someone who needs to keep my hands busy. I believe that if you are going to make something, you should do it with your full heart. That is why I started creating these accessories. I wanted to bring the same level of detail I use in my mehendi designs to the festive items you wear.
The Details That Matter
Everything you see here is made by me. There are no shortcuts. When I design a Kutchi-style waist belt, I include a functional 6x4 inch zippered pocket. I know you want to dance at your event without worrying about where your phone or cash is, so I built the solution into the design.
My Kutchi hair bows and fabric chokers are crafted to be lightweight. You will not find heavy, uncomfortable materials here. I use soft cotton linings so you can wear them through a long sangeet or wedding without any sweat irritation.
What You Get
- Handmade Uniqueness: Because I make these myself, no two pieces are exactly the same. You get something one-of-a-kind.
- Festive Ready: The embroidery, mirror work (shisha), and shells are inspired by traditional Gujarati patterns, making them a perfect match for Navratri, Dandiya, or any ethnic celebration.
- Reliable Fit: My belts are adjustable (28-38 inches), and the chokers come with a dori tie-up, so you can always find the fit that feels right for you.
If you have a specific color theme for your wedding or festival, let me know. I love working with clients to match their vision.
