About this collection
For these styles, I use micro-crimping at the roots to give your hair the necessary texture and grip. This isn't just about looking good; it's about making sure your bun stays secure for hours without needing constant touch-ups, even if your hair is naturally fine or slippery.
Updos are my go-to for events where you want a clean, elegant silhouette that doesn't get in the way. I focus heavily on the structure underneath the surface. Before I even start pinning, I use micro-crimping to create a foundation so the hair has enough grip. If we're going for a big, voluminous bun, I use donut stuffers and padding to fill it out, ensuring it looks full without the weight of heavy, unnatural extensions.
I work with a variety of settings. For a modern reception, a sleek, frizz-free donut bun with a touch of gold or fresh baby's breath works wonders. If it’s a more relaxed event like a baby shower or a cocktail party, I prefer soft, textured messy buns that look effortless but are actually carefully pinned to last.
I also coordinate directly with your 'mekup' artist. Since the position of the bun affects the overall look of your outfit and jewelry—especially if you are wearing a maang tikka—I make sure the height and placement are perfect. If you have any accessories like fresh jasmine gajra or heavy stone clips, bring them along. I am happy to integrate them into the design so they sit securely throughout your ceremony. Please remember to arrive with washed and 100% dry hair so we can get started right away.
