About Wearable Art & Pins
Each piece is stiffened or felt backed to make sure it holds its shape on your jacket or bag. I use cotton yarn and secure hardware because I want these to actually last, not just look cute.
I have always loved the idea that art should not just sit on a shelf. When I make these pins and patches, I am thinking about how they will look on your denim jacket, your tote bag, or even as a matching accessory for you and your bestie. Most of these designs, like my pride hearts or those little sleepy dog faces, started as a way for me to wear something that felt like me.
For the pins, I use a mix of stiffened felt backing or fabric glue reinforcement. It helps the crochet motif stay flat and durable. Whether it is a 3cm pride heart or a 5cm cartoon character, the hardware, usually a sturdy safety pin or butterfly clutch, is sewn or glued by hand so it does not just pop off.
If you have a specific character in mind, like a favorite anime face or a pet design, I do take custom orders. Send me a message with your idea, and we can figure out the yarn colors and sizing together. Since I am a one-person shop, sometimes it takes me a bit longer to finish custom work, but I promise the wait is worth it for something that is uniquely yours. Keep in mind that these are handmade, so there might be tiny differences between what you see in the photos and what lands in your mailbox.
