A Peek Into Life Behind the Mic

About Behind the Mic
It is not all glamour. Behind the scenes, it is about rapid decisions, technical checks, and turning spontaneous hiccups into crowd-pleasing moments. Whether I am recovering from a near-fall on stage or shifting the energy during a technical glitch, my focus is always on making sure the guests never feel the chaos.
Hosting is often seen as just reading lines, but the reality involves a lot of behind-the-scenes work. When I step off the stage, I am usually coordinating cues with the DJ, managing family dynamics, or switching my outfit to match the next segment of the event.
My approach is entirely live. I do not just stick to a script because a party is a living, breathing thing. If the crowd is feeling sluggish, I change the game. If the aunties are getting bored, I bring them into the action. I mix Hindi and English so that everyone, from the older generation to the cousins near the stage, feels included.
I have learned that the best moments are the ones you do not plan. These candid glimpses show exactly that. From my early days to hosting large-scale corporate summits and intimate weddings, the common thread is the energy. It is not about standing there; it is about being the conductor of the room. I love the adrenaline of a live event, and I truly believe that if I am having fun, the crowd will too.
