Packing & Travel Organization Hacks
Packing shouldn't be a source of stress before your trip even starts. Whether you’re an overpacker or a last-minute toss-it-in packer, I help you create simple systems to keep your suitcase and sanity intact.
Are you an overpacker or an underpacker? No matter your travel style, I can help you create a packing system that works. My goal is to handle the packing so you can focus on making memories.
Packing for a trip as a professional organizer means every item has its place. I use packing cubes to categorize my clothes and a well-designed briefcase to keep my essentials secure and easy to access.
About Travel & Lifestyle Hacks
Most people view packing cubes as just another accessory, but the real hack is categorization by use-case, not just by clothing type. When I pack for a trip, I don't just group tops and bottoms; I create 'daily outfit' cubes for specific days or activities. This prevents you from digging through your entire bag at the hotel and keeps your room mess-free from day one.
Whether you are the person who packs for four seasons while travelling to one, or the person who arrives at the airport hoping you have not forgotten your passport, there is a middle ground. It starts with shifting how you view your luggage.
Why Packing Systems Fail
Most travel stress comes from the 'dump and pray' method. You throw everything into the suitcase, zip it, and hope it fits. When you arrive, you have to unpack everything just to find one charger or a pair of socks. That is where professional organization changes the game.
My Proven Packing Strategy
- The Cube Method: I swear by packing cubes. Use them to separate innerwear, tops, bottoms, and even laundry. If you are travelling to multiple cities, pack by destination rather than category.
- The 'Empty Space' Rule: If your suitcase is full when you leave, where will your souvenirs or shopping go? Leave 15% of your space empty.
- The Tech/Essentials Case: Never put your chargers, passports, and essential meds in with your clothes. Keep them in a dedicated, accessible pouch or hard-shell case.
Need a Hand?
I regularly run workshops where we actually practice these packing challenges with carry-on luggage. If your next trip feels daunting, I can help you set up a system that ensures you land with everything you need, exactly where you need it.
