Festive and Cultural Styling Services
Festivals are all about the vibe, not just the trend. Whether it's your first Karwachauth or a traditional Pahadi look, I'll help you style an outfit that feels like you.
This is my take on a traditional 'Pahadi Bahu' or bride look. The classic red saree paired with a gold nath is a timeless combination. I can help you create authentic cultural looks that honor your heritage.
Get ready with me for Karwachauth. This video shows my process of putting together a festive look, featuring a beautiful red suit with intricate embroidery and a contrasting Banarasi dupatta. I can help you style looks for any festival.
A soft and dreamy look for Karwachauth. I styled this light blue Banarasi saree with a pearl necklace set for an elegant and modern festive outfit. Your festival style can be both traditional and fresh.
Celebrating Diwali with diyas in hand. For this look, I chose a classic black and gold woven saree with a contrasting red blouse. It's a sophisticated and timeless choice for the festival of lights.
My look for Janmashtami, inspired by the Gopis of Vrindavan. I styled this pink and red leheriya saree with floral makeup details. It's a playful and devotional look perfect for the occasion.
A close-up of my first Karwachauth look. The classic red saree, gold jewellery, and red lipstick create a timeless newlywed look. I love helping new brides style their first festivals.
Another shot of my Diwali look on the terrace, surrounded by lights. The rich fabric of the saree catches the light beautifully, making it perfect for an evening celebration.
A quick transformation video for Diwali. I went from a simple look to a festive red and pink lehenga, showing how you can get ready for any celebration.
About Festive & Cultural Styling
When we plan your festive outfit, we start with what you already own. I love taking a classic Banarasi saree or a simple lehenga you've worn before and changing the vibe completely with new jewellery or a different drape. It is not about buying a whole new outfit every time you have a function; it is about making your existing wardrobe work for the celebration while keeping it authentic and comfortable.
Festivals in India, from Karwachauth and Diwali to traditional wedding ceremonies, are deeply emotional events. You want to look stunning, but comfort is non-negotiable. My festive styling process focuses on blending your personal taste with cultural nuances, ensuring you never feel like you are wearing a costume.
Creating Your Cultural Look
Whether you want an authentic 'Pahadi Bahu' look with the classic red saree and nath, or a modern fusion outfit for a Diwali party, I help bridge the gap. We look at:
- Colour Theory: Choosing tones that actually suit your skin, rather than what is trending on Instagram.
- The Detail Work: From sourcing the right Banarasi dupatta to selecting the perfect maang tikka, the small accessories make the look.
- Traditional Roots: I love incorporating pieces that hold sentimental value. If you have your mother’s old jewellery or a heirloom saree, we will style it to feel fresh and contemporary.
How We Work
Most of my festive styling is done virtually. We start with a 45-minute video consultation where we look at your wardrobe. We identify what pieces need a tweak, what we can restyle, and what (if anything) you actually need to buy. If you are in Delhi, we can even hit the markets like Chandni Chowk to find the perfect additions to your trousseau or festive collection.
This is about being your own stylist, with a little help from me to make sure every look is photo-ready and festive-perfect. Shukrana for letting me be a part of your celebrations.
