Organize Your Handbags, Shoes, and Collections
Stop hiding your favorite bags and shoes in dust bags. I create display systems that help you see, access, and actually enjoy your collection every single day.
Are you still keeping your beautiful bags in dust bags? Out of sight is out of mind. I recommend displaying them on open shelves to increase their usage and enjoy your collection.
An organized shoe closet with footwear arranged by type. On the bottom shelf, you can see how we've stored luggage, making use of all the available space.
The same shoe closet, but this time using shoe slots to double the storage capacity. This is a great trick for anyone with a large shoe collection.
Shoe slots are a fantastic way to organize footwear. They stack shoes vertically, keeping them easy to find and preventing the tops from getting scuffed or dirty.
A shoe collection deserves a good setup. Using shoe slots in this cabinet allowed us to neatly store the client's entire collection with room to grow.
You don't need a huge space to organize your clutches. A simple drawer with dividers is perfect for storing them upright, keeping them visible and protected.
Another view of an organized handbag drawer. Smaller bags and clutches fit perfectly, and drawer dividers help to keep everything in its place.
This drawer is organized with beautiful sling bags and wallets. By storing them this way, the client can easily see her options and choose the perfect one for her outfit.
A stunning collection of wedge heels, beautifully organized on glass shelves. When you can see your shoes this clearly, you're more likely to wear all of them.
The new month is a great time to move your things around and refresh your space. Airing out your bags and shoes and displaying them differently can make you fall in love with your collection all over again.
About Curated Collections
A common mistake I see is storing handbags in dust bags tucked away on high shelves. Out of sight really does mean out of mind. When we organize your collection, we design open display systems or clear, accessible drawer layouts that keep your items protected while making them visible. You are far more likely to use your favorite clutch or heels when you can see them at a glance, not when they are buried in a box.
Why Your Collection Needs a System
Many of my clients tell me they have beautiful things they save for special occasions. The problem is that when these items are stored in boxes or opaque bags, they never get used. I believe in organizing to increase usage, not just storage.
My Approach
Sabse pehle, we declutter. If you have not used a pair of heels in three years because they hurt or they are out of style, it is time to let them go. Once we are left with what you love, we design a system that works for your specific space.
Practical Solutions for Your Items
- Shoe Slots: These are my go-to for maximizing space. They allow you to stack shoes vertically without the tops getting scuffed, effectively doubling your shoe rack capacity.
- Drawer Dividers: For clutches and wallets, deep shelves often become a graveyard. I prefer shallow drawers with wooden or acrylic dividers. This keeps small accessories upright and perfectly visible.
- Open Shelving: If you have the space, open shelves for handbags act as a display. They add color and personality to your wardrobe while reminding you to rotate your collection.
Maintenance
I will not just organize your space and leave. We finish with a quick coaching session on how to keep these systems running. Organizing is not magic, but with the right routines, your home can stay tidy with just five minutes of effort each day.
