Creative and Themed Makeup Looks
Whether it is a festive Navratri series or a traditional Maharashtrian look, I love working with themes that feel 100% you. Let us play with colors and textures that make you stand out.
A before-and-after transformation into a classic Maharashtrian look. This video shows the creation of the messy bun, smokey eye makeup, and the final draped saree.
A close-up of my take on a subtle Maharashtrian look. The hair is styled in a simple, elegant bun, paired with oxidized silver jewelry and a bindi.
A full-length shot showing how the simple bun hairstyle works beautifully with the traditional saree and accessories.
A playful shot showing the details of the messy bun and the blue smokey eye. This look is a modern interpretation of a classic style.
My look for Navratri Day 9. I styled my hair with crimped waves for a fun and festive texture to match the vibrant purple outfit.
A before-and-after for Navratri Day 8. The look features a pink saree with a soft, side-swept hairstyle and a simple braid.
For Navratri Day 5, I created a simple look with open hair, a small braid at the crown, and winged eyeliner to go with the white outfit.
My Garba look for Navratri Day 4. The hair is styled in a half-updo with soft waves, perfect for a night of dancing.
Navratri Day 3 featured a grey and black theme. I styled my hair in soft, open waves to complement the smokey eye makeup and glittery blouse.
About Creative & Themed Looks
When I create themed looks, my priority is ensuring the styling lasts through the energy of a Garba night or a long photoshoot. I don't just copy a Pinterest board, I adapt the colors and accessories to fit your specific face shape, outfit, and mood. I bring everything to your venue in Gurugram, so you don't have to worry about a thing.
Creative makeup isn't just about bold colors or costumes; it's about storytelling. For my Navratri series, I specifically focused on matching the energy of the daily colors and the vibrancy of the outfits with hairstyles that hold up while dancing.
My Process for Themed Looks
- Collaborative Planning: Whether you have a specific Maharashtrian look in mind or a complex creative character for a shoot, we start by looking at your outfit and the vibe you want to set. I’m here to guide you on what will actually look good on camera versus just in person.
- The Details Matter: I bring along essential styling accessories, including pearl clips, floral pins, and vine pieces, to pull the theme together. If you have specific hair jewelry like a Maang Tikka, I specialize in the threading and anchoring techniques needed to keep it secure for hours.
- Built for the Event: My creative styles are built to last. I use heat protection and setting techniques that keep your hair in place, whether you are posing for editorials or on a dance floor.
Preparing for Your Appointment
- Start with Clean Hair: For any structured updo or crimped style, please ensure your hair is washed and fully dry before I arrive. It helps the products grip better.
- Share the Vibe: If you have a mood board or photos of the outfit, send them over early. It helps me pack the right accessories and prep the base products so we can get started right away.
