About this collection
Traditional ceremonies often involve long hours under temple or stage lights, which is why I prioritize waterproof base application and long-wear pigments. I also handle your full traditional styling, including securing heavy temple jewelry and ensuring your silk saree or Coorgi style draping is set perfectly, so you can focus entirely on the rituals rather than adjusting your look.
My approach to traditional ceremony makeup is all about respecting the culture while enhancing your natural features. Whether you are wearing a classic Kanjivaram for a wedding or a set saree for a pooja, the goal is to make the makeup feel like a seamless part of your look rather than an add-on.
Why traditional looks require special attention:
- Long-Lasting Base: Ceremonies can stretch for hours. I use high-performance products that stay fresh, even when you are sitting near a Homa (sacred fire) or under bright event lights.
- Jewelry Management: Traditional temple jewelry is heavy. I ensure your makeup, especially the base and contouring, is structured to support the placement of maang tikkas, heavy earrings, and waist belts without looking weighed down.
- Precision Draping: Whether you need a standard Nivi style or the specific pleating required for a Coorgi saree or Kerala Kasavu, my team and I handle the pinning and pleating. We ensure your saree stays in place throughout the event.
- Hair Artistry: From classic gajra-adorned buns to intricate floral Jada for Seemantha, I work with the hair to complement the head jewelry and your outfit. We do not use heavy, uncomfortable padding unless it is necessary for the style you want.
Makeup for these events should make you feel like a goddess, but it should still feel like you. I avoid heavy caking, focusing instead on a glow that looks elegant in person and clear in your photos.
