My Nail Art Process & Techniques
Ever wonder how those perfect nails happen? Here is a peek at my kit, my process, and the prep that goes into making your mani last. 💅🏻
A mini-tutorial showing how I created this Indian flag nail art for Independence Day. It shows the careful layering of colors and the final curing process that makes the design last.
A quick before-and-after transformation! This video shows how I apply pre-shaped tips to add length and then build them up with acrylic to create these long, fabulous pink extensions.
This is a look at how I practice new designs on a silicone finger. This one features cute Hello Kitty art on a clear extension, a technique known as an "encapsulated" design.
About Behind the Art
Getting long-lasting nails is not just about the final color, it is about the prep underneath. I use an electric file to etch your nail plate for better adhesion, followed by a dry manicure to clean up cuticles, ensuring your extensions do not lift after a few days.
When you see the final result, you might not notice the hours of prep that came before. Whether I am doing a quick gel set or intricate encapsulated 3D art, my process is the same. It starts with a proper dry manicure. I push back and trim your cuticles, then use an electric file to gently etch the nail surface. This step is crucial because it helps the acrylic or gel bond to your natural nail instead of sitting on top of the natural oils, which causes early lifting.
For extensions, I always check the apex of the nail. This is the stress point of the nail, and reinforcing it with structure gel or acrylic is what keeps your nails from snapping when you open a can or type on your phone.
If you have ever seen my reels, you know I love experimenting with new techniques. From hand-painted designs on silicone practice fingers to perfecting the gradient on an ombre set, practice is how I stay sharp. I am big on sharing this knowledge too. My professional nail art course covers everything from basic product handling to advanced chrome and marble art, because I want my students to know that great art requires both creativity and a solid technical foundation. Whether you are coming in for a bridal set or booking a session to learn, I keep everything transparent, safe, and fun.
