I started painting on things other than sneakers because I realized that everyday objects deserve to tell a story too. My approach is simple: I take your gear and turn it into a canvas that reflects your vibe, whether that is subtle line art or a bold, colorful galaxy scene.
What I Customize
I am always up for a challenge. My studio in Mumbai handles a variety of surfaces:
- Leather Accessories: Wallets, passport covers, and luggage tags. I use specialized fine-line techniques, often borrowing from my tattoo practice to get those precise, intricate details that hold up on folding leather.
- Tech & Gear: Marshall speakers, earpod cases, and more. These surfaces require careful deglazing so the paint bonds permanently, even with regular handling.
- Instruments: I have painted guitars and other wooden surfaces. This takes patience because of the curves, but the result is a functional instrument that stands out.
The Process
It is not just about the paint. Every item goes through a rigorous prep stage. I use industrial-grade acetone to deglaze the surface, ensuring the paint actually sticks. Once the artwork is done, I seal it with a flexible, high-quality finisher. This means your painted wallet won't crack when you open it, and your gear stays protected against water and wear.
