Dining Experience & Setup
- Service Style: Traditional sit-down service where uniformed waiters serve items sequentially on banana leaves.
- Tableware: Fresh banana leaves, steel or silver-finish katoris (bowls), and steel water glasses.
- Decor: Traditional table runners, marigold flower petal accents, and rangoli near food staging.
- Staffing: High 1:8 waiter-to-guest ratio for fast service; staff in traditional attire or formal uniforms.
The 18-Course Traditional Menu
- Welcome Drink: Choice of Solkadhi, Kokum Sherbet, or Panhe.
- Starters: 2 authentic Farsan items like Kothimbir Vadi, Alu Vadi, or Surali Wadi.
- Mains: 3 vegetable preparations including Batata Bhaji, Matki Usal (Sprouts), and Stuffed Brinjal or Veg Kurma.
- Staples: Hot Puri or Chapati with pure Desi Ghee.
- Rice & Dal: Masale Bhaat, Steamed Rice with Varan (Dal) and Ghee, plus spicy Katachi Amti.
- Accompaniments: Khamang Kakdi (Salad), Thecha, Papad, Pickle, and Salt/Lemon.

- Manpower: 2-3 professional staff for setup, serving, and cleaning (includes vessel washing).
- Hardware: Transport of food/equipment included; provision of melamine plates or premium eco-friendly disposables.
Festive Menu
- Welcome: 1 Welcome Drink.
- Appetizers: 2 items including 1 Farsan (Samosa/Vadi) and 1 Dhokla/Bhajiya.
- Mains: 2 Vegetable preparations (1 Dry, 1 Gravy), Dal Fry or Gujarati Kadhi.
- Staples: Steamed Rice or Pulao, Chapati or Puri.
- Dessert: 1 Premium Sweet (Gulab Jamun, Shrikhand, or similar).
- Sides: Pickle, Papad, Salad.

Food is at the heart, but for me, it’s always about the vibe too - making sure your event feels effortless, even when things get a little wild behind the scenes. My family’s been doing this for 50+ years, and trust me, catering is as much about quick thinking as it is about recipes.

My Story
We’re The Marathi Pangat, born from a 50-year-old family catering legacy. Started as a weekend cloud kitchen, now we send out Marathi Pangat hampers and Diwali Faral all over the world. For us, it’s about more than just food—it’s about memories, culture, and letting the woman of the house finally enjoy the festival. Maharashtra Times even called us ‘Trendsetters’! या, पंगतीला बसा! (Come, sit for the meal!)
