About Traditional Marathi Pangat Catering
Why We Do What We Do
We started The Marathi Pangat because I wanted people to taste and feel the vibe of our मराठी खाद्य संस्कृती (Marathi food culture). This isn't just about food - it's about bringing folks together, sitting in a row, and sharing a Sovlyacha Jevan catering experience that’s straight from the heart.
Pangat - More Than a Meal
Pangat is that classic sit-down meal on banana leaves, served in a sequence that’s been around forever. You’ll see each dish with its own spot and story. There’s a reason why it’s the choice for weddings, munj, graha pravesh, and even those big festival home parties.
What We Bring to Your Table
- Full pangat setup with banana leaves, authentic seating and our crew handling the serving
- Maharashtrian banana leaf feast for weddings, ceremonies, corporate events, and festivals
- 100% vegetarian menu with everything fresh and local
The Food - Old School, All Heart
We stick to classic recipes - think Ukadiche Modak, Puran Poli, Masale Bhaat, Kothimbir Wadi, and Taak. Every dish feels like home.
Handling the Madness
Not gonna lie, catering gets crazy. Sometimes guest numbers double, sometimes the phone rings at midnight for a breakfast event of 400! You need to stay cool - that’s where our decades of experience kick in. We don’t panic, we just get it sorted.
Trust Earned Over Time
We’ve served presidents, artists, and big families. But honestly, the real honor is seeing everyone enjoy a pangat together, just like it’s meant to be.

My Story
We’re The Marathi Pangat, born from a 50-year-old family catering legacy. Started as a weekend cloud kitchen, now we send out Marathi Pangat hampers and Diwali Faral all over the world. For us, it’s about more than just food—it’s about memories, culture, and letting the woman of the house finally enjoy the festival. Maharashtra Times even called us ‘Trendsetters’! या, पंगतीला बसा!
