Landmark and Travel Photography in Delhi

Skip the standard postcard shots. I photograph monuments and landmarks focusing on mood, light, and the small details most people walk right past.

Instead of a typical shot of the Golden Temple, I wanted to try something different. Using a phone to frame the shot creates a picture within a picture, showing how we see and capture these beautiful places today.

A low-angle shot of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, using tree branches to frame the magnificent structure. Finding creative angles is key to my travel photography.

A dramatic shot of Safdarjung Tomb against a cloudy sky. The architecture is the hero here, and the moody sky adds a sense of history and grandeur to the monument.

Capturing Safdarjung Tomb as the sun sets. The golden light catching the side of the dome brings out the warm colors of the stone and adds a beautiful glow to this historical landmark.

A straight-on, symmetrical shot of Safdarjung Tomb. This classic composition highlights the incredible detail and balance of Mughal architecture.

About Landmark & Travel Photography

I shoot with a Nikon D5300 and a 50mm prime lens, focusing entirely on natural light. To get those clean shots of landmarks without the crowds, I prefer starting early morning during the golden hour when the light is soft and the locations are quiet.

Photography at major landmarks often feels crowded and cliché. When I set up for a shoot, whether it’s at Safdarjung Tomb or the Golden Temple, my goal is to find an angle that hasn’t been done a thousand times. I look for reflections, foreground frames, or the way the light hits the stone during that short window at sunrise or sunset.

I don’t carry heavy studio lights. I rely on my gear, my 50mm f/1.8 for that depth and background blur, and whatever natural light is available. This means my shoots are highly dependent on timing. If we want that warm glow against the sky, we start early or plan for the last hour of daylight.

I cover locations across Delhi NCR and am open to travel for heritage shoots. My approach is less about sightseeing photography and more about storytelling. If you’re looking for someone to capture the grandeur of a space without making it look like a stock photo, let’s talk.

I'm the one behind the lens at Wepin. I spend most of my time chasing the right light and finding new stories in old places. I'm not here to take perfect tourist postcards, I'm here to capture the mood of the moment.
