Feline Behavior and Enrichment Training
Whether your cat is prepping for travel, learning to harness walk, or just needs to build confidence, I help them feel secure through positive reinforcement in my home.
This is Brutus, getting ready for a big move to France. I'm working with him on a specialized program that includes harness training to make his international travel experience less stressful.
A closer look at Brutus getting comfortable with his harness. We introduce new things like this slowly and with positive rewards to build a cat's confidence for travel and outdoor adventures.
The fit of a harness is very important for a cat's safety and comfort. Part of my service is ensuring pets are properly equipped for their training, like Brutus is here.
For multi-cat households, individual crate feeding is a great management tool. It prevents food competition and allows me to monitor each cat's appetite and health, as I'm doing here with Leah, Luna, and Luke.
Jarvis is a great example of a cat who has learned to love his harness. This allows him to have safe, supervised time outdoors, which is fantastic mental and physical stimulation.
Getting a cat comfortable with their travel carrier is essential for stress-free vet visits or travel. Aubrey is relaxing in his travel backpack, showing he sees it as a safe and comfortable space.
A happy cat is one who feels safe enough to relax completely. Imli is enjoying a peaceful sunbath on the balcony, a simple but important part of the enrichment I provide.
About Feline Behavior & Enrichment
Training isn't about forcing your cat to behave; it is about making new experiences feel safe. When I work on harness training or carrier desensitization, we move at your cat's pace, using positive reinforcement so they actually want to participate. It is not about immediate perfection, but building their confidence until that crate or harness stops being a trigger and starts being a routine.
Why Confidence Matters
Cats are creatures of habit. When they face big changes, like a move, travel to a new country, or just a shift in the household, they need help to adjust. My approach to feline behavior is centered on reducing stress through enrichment and gradual conditioning.
How We Work
- Travel Conditioning: If you are planning a trip or a move, we start early. I work on crate desensitization so your cat views their carrier as a safe zone, not a prison. This makes vet visits and flights manageable instead of traumatic.
- Harness & Leash Skills: Want to take your cat outdoors? We use positive reinforcement to introduce the harness. It starts with just letting them wear it around the house before we ever step outside. It is slow work, but it is the only way to ensure they feel secure.
- Litter & Socialization: I troubleshoot and manage litter habits and multi-cat introductions in my home. If your cat is struggling with litter box usage or showing signs of stress in a multi-pet home, we look at the environment, not just the behavior.
The Home Difference
My practice in Gurgaon is not a facility; it is my home. I do not use cages, so your cat gets to explore, climb, and find their own cozy spots. This natural environment allows me to observe their true behavior and work on modifications in real-time, whether that is learning to eat in a crate or getting comfortable with new feline friends.
