Why I Started Making These Treats
Losing Hugo and Fido made me realise how hard it is to find safe, health-focused treats for dogs with special needs. I wanted to give other pets the same honest, real food I insisted on for my own. Every recipe here comes from that love, with help from a certified pet nutritionist.
What Makes These Treats Different
These aren’t your usual snacks. Each treat is made for a specific health issue:
- Arthritis Biscuits (Veg): Gluten-free, antioxidant-rich, gentle on joints. Great for seniors or breeds prone to stiffness.
- Mobility Bones (Non-Veg): Dehydrated chicken wings with turmeric, glucosamine, chondroitin. Works for bone strength and as a natural chew.
- Renal Support Biscuits: Specially made for dogs with kidney trouble. Vet-approved and low on stuff that stresses their system.
- Liver-Friendly Treats: Gluten-free, low-fat, uses lean chicken and brown rice. Easy on digestion, supports liver health.
- Sugar-Free Diabetic Biscuits: No sugar or gluten. Even diabetic dogs can enjoy without worry.
- Flea Be Gone Biscuits: Natural flea repellent dog snacks - one a day helps protect from pests, also keeps their coat shiny.

Hugo and Fido, my two dogs, started it all. The Barkery’s more than a bakery - it’s their memory, their spirit, their love in every treat. Every recipe, every biscuit, is me trying to give your pet the same care I gave mine. I lost them, but what they taught me about love and health sticks. So, I bake for them, and for every dog who deserves a happy, healthy life. This is their legacy, and I’m just passing it on.
