I don’t just plant succulents; I build tiny worlds that tell your story. Whether it’s a milestone anniversary or a birthday surprise, let’s turn a cherished memory into a miniature garden you can keep.
This one is so special to me. It was a gift for a toddler from her grandparents, showing them all together in their happy place. I love creating these little scenes that capture so much love in a beautiful succulent garden.
A sweet anniversary garden I made, complete with a mini bar and a cake. It's all about celebrating the little moments and the big milestones together. Happy Anniversary.
Cheers to 40 years. This garden was for a big birthday celebration and captures a perfect afternoon with friends, painting, wine, and even a little dog. I love getting all the tiny details just right for these personalized gifts.
A birthday garden for a loved one. This one has a sweet little picnic scene and a custom message to make it extra personal. I truly believe plants make the best gifts.
Home is where my plants are... and maybe where your loved one is too. This little beach scene was so fun to create for a couple who loves the sun and sand.

About Story Gardens for Special Moments
When you order a story garden, I don’t just pick plants; I curate a mix of succulents and figurines that mirror your specific memory—like adding a tiny guitar for a music lover or a miniature beach scene for travel buffs. You can even choose the message on the wooden placard, and I’ll handwrite it to make sure the sentiment is just right.
How I Build Your Tiny World
Every arrangement I make is a little ecosystem of its own. I start with a 6 to 8-inch ceramic bowl as the base and fill it with my custom potting mix—a blend of cocopeat, sand, red soil, perlite, and compost that keeps succulents and snake plants happy without rotting their roots.
Then comes the landscape. I layer colored sand, river pebbles, and fine gravel to create terrain—beaches, parks, or mountain paths—depending on the scene we're building. The plants are chosen for scale and hardiness, usually a mix of Echeverias, Haworthias, and Syngoniums that look good together but also get along (very important for plants 😉).
Customization Details
This is where you come in. Tell me what makes your moment special.
- The Figures: I source resin figurines that fit the theme—think couples, grandparents, or kids playing.
- The Props: Tiny wine bottles, park benches, musical instruments, or beach gear. If I can find it, I’ll add it to make the scene feel real.
- The Placard: I handwrite your message on a miniature wooden blackboard. It adds that personal touch that cards just don’t quite capture.
Care Tips
These gardens are tough, but they do need a little love. Keep them in a well-lit spot, but avoid harsh, direct midday sun. Water only when the soil is completely dry—usually once in 7 to 10 days—and make sure not to splash the leaves too much. I include a care card with every delivery so you’re never left guessing.
