Experience the raw grit of solo riders tackling the 3,600km Kashmir to Kanyakumari route. These aren't just rides, they are true tests of endurance that push the boundaries of what our BCC family can achieve.

Twice in a year! We are incredibly proud to celebrate Tameem Ansari for completing the grueling 3622 km Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) ride for the second time in a single year. His determination is truly unmatched.

A video celebrating Tameem Ansari's successful completion of his K2K ride in just 21 days. It shows his journey starting from the iconic clock tower in Srinagar, a testament to his incredible endurance.

Day 1 of the K2K solo expedition. This video shows the start of the journey from Kashmir, including the initial challenges like a 5km traffic jam. This is where the epic 21 day adventure began.

Day 2 of the K2K ride. This video captures the tough climbs and scenic roads as the journey continues from Jammu & Kashmir towards Pathankot. Every day brings new challenges and beautiful landscapes.

Day 3 of the solo K2K expedition. The video shows our rider pushing through, both in daylight and into the night, with support from local bikers. The journey is tough, but the spirit is tougher.

Day 5 of the K2K journey, heading towards Agra. This video shows the harsh reality of ultra-endurance cycling, from dealing with punctures on the highway to finding a moment of shade to rehydrate.

Day 8 of the K2K ride, arriving in Gwalior. The video shows the challenges of riding in full gear to beat the cold and the warm welcome from the local biker community who provided support.

Day 10 of the K2K solo ride, from Agra to Sagar. The video highlights the extremely tough and damaged road conditions, but also the kindness of strangers who offered help and support along the way.

Day 15 of the K2K expedition, starting from Hyderabad. With only five days left to reach Bangalore, the challenge intensifies. We, along with the Hyderabad cycling community, wished him the best.

Preparations for the next big challenge. This video shows our rider Tameem at the airport, booking tickets for his next K2K attempt, this time as part of the official Race Across India event.

About Epic Solo Expeditions

Riding solo across 3,600km isn't just about physical stamina. It’s about navigating 5km traffic jams in Kashmir, handling mid-ride punctures on highways near Agra, and finding shade to rehydrate when the heat spikes. Our solo riders, like Tameem, document these real-time challenges, managing their own nutrition, mechanical fixes, and mental fatigue while keeping the BCC community updated every step of the way.

The Reality of the Road

Solo expeditions are more than just distance. When you are on the road for 21 days straight, from the clock tower in Srinagar to the coast of Kanyakumari, your biggest adversary is often the environment. Our riders deal with extreme temperature shifts, road damage between Agra and Sagar, and the sheer mental toll of riding alone. We believe in being transparent about this—it is tough, it is gritty, and it requires serious preparation.

More Than Just a Ride

While the ride is 'solo', the support is communal. The Bengaluru Cycling Club provides the backbone of logistics and moral support. Whether it's coordinating with local biking groups in Gwalior for safety, or ensuring our riders have nutritional guidance, we ensure no one is truly alone on their journey.

Planning Your Own Expedition

If you are aiming to transition from shorter brevets to an epic solo challenge, here is how we suggest you start:

  • Document Everything: Use Strava to track consistency and elevation. It helps validate your progress.
  • Build Your Support: Never underestimate the importance of local biking communities. Connect with riders in the cities you pass through.
  • Master the Basics: You must be able to handle basic repairs like fixing punctures and chain issues mid-ride.
  • Nutrition is Key: Test your hydration strategy on shorter, high-intensity rides before going cross-country.

We don't just ride to hit milestones; we ride to be part of history. From tracing the map of India on Bengaluru streets to conquering the country's length, every pedal stroke counts. Join us for our next community ride and let's get training.
