About Epic Ultra-Distance Rides (1000km+)
These events are not guided tours. Our 1000km+ brevets are self-supported endurance challenges where you manage your own nutrition, hydration, and sleep, navigating via the GPX files we provide. We handle the checkpoints, route certification, and logistics, but the road is yours. You will need a reliable bike and the mental preparation to handle 75+ hours of riding, because once you are deep into the Western Ghats or pushing through a night on the highway, it is just you and your resolve.
The Reality of Ultra-Distance Brevets
When you sign up for a 1000km+ brevet, you are stepping into a different league of cycling. These are not races, but endurance tests validated by Audax Club Parisien (ACP) and Les Randonneurs Mondiaux (LRM). Whether you are targeting the Jog Falls 1000K with its 10,000 meters of elevation or the Kittur Express on the Mumbai Highway, you need to prepare for extreme conditions.
What We Provide
We ensure the framework for your success is solid:
- Certification: Official ride validation and homologation numbers.
- Navigation: Detailed cue sheets and GPX files for self-navigation.
- Logistics: Drop-bag transport for multi-day events and designated sleep stations at major controls.
- Support: Checkpoint hydration and basic mechanical checks at the start.
Your Responsibility
This is self-supported cycling. You are responsible for your own safety, bike maintenance, and pacing. You will face scorching heat, heavy rains, headwinds, and the exhaustion that comes with riding for days on end. Your gear must be dialed in before the start line.
