Before & After: Tattoo Removal Results
Old ink doesn't have to stay forever. I have spent 15 years in Dadar helping people clear unwanted designs, from simple symbols to dense tribal patterns, using safe and proven laser techniques.
This tribal-style lower back tattoo has been significantly faded. This type of dense black ink work requires patience and several sessions to break down completely.
A detailed butterfly tattoo on the arm, shown before treatment and after it has been fully removed, leaving clear skin behind.
This is another example of a butterfly tattoo, this one a solid black silhouette on the wrist, which has been completely cleared after laser removal sessions.
An abstract symbol tattoo removed from the chest. The after photo shows clean skin with no trace of the original fine-line tattoo.
A solid black star tattoo removed from the neck. This is a sensitive area, but the process is quick and effective.
These three bird silhouettes on the forearm have been faded significantly. Depending on the client's goal, some choose to stop at this stage for a cover-up, while others continue to full removal.
A simple smiley face outline tattoo on the wrist, completely gone after treatment. This shows that even older, faded tattoos can be fully removed.
This is a multi-stage removal of a symbol on the chest. It shows the original tattoo, the fading process, and the final clear result.
Two small paw prints removed from the top of the foot. I can work on various body parts, including feet and hands.
A plant-like design removed from the side of the hand. The after photo shows the skin has healed well with the tattoo completely gone.
About Before & After: Designs & Symbols
Removing a tattoo is not a one-time thing. You need to know that black ink usually goes the fastest, but colors like red and pink might take longer to clear. We use numbing cream to manage the snap-like sensation, and I will be honest with you from the start about how many sessions your specific tattoo will actually need.
How the Removal Process Works
It is not magic, it is physics. When I use the Q-Switched laser, it breaks down the ink particles under your skin. You will see 'frosting'—that chalky white look right after the session—which is just the laser doing its job. It fades in minutes, and that is how we know we are making progress.
My Protocol at the Dadar Studio
- Assessment: We check the age, size, and ink type of your tattoo to set expectations.
- Prep: Topical lidocaine cream is applied 15 to 20 minutes before we start to manage the heat sensation.
- The Session: We use the laser to target the ink, breaking it down in sections.
- Post-care: I apply antibiotic ointment and bandage the area to ensure it heals clean without scarring.
Practical Details
- Does it hurt? Yes, it feels like a rubber band snap. We handle this with numbing cream and mandatory breathing breaks.
- How long does it take? A small name or initials might take 5 to 10 minutes, while larger tribal bands can take up to 45 minutes.
- Can you remove everything? I handle most body parts, including sensitive areas like the neck or fingers. If your tattoo has tricky colored ink, I will tell you straight if it is a tougher job or an easy clear.
Remember, this is mehnat ka kaam (hard work). It takes patience, and we work session by session to ensure the skin heals properly.
