Portrait & Tribute Tattoos
Keep your loved ones close with custom, realistic portraits and meaningful tribute designs that honor the people who matter most.
This video showcases a finished double portrait tattoo of a client's parents. Creating a realistic likeness is a challenge I enjoy, and the result is a permanent, heartfelt tribute.
A creative tribute tattoo that combines the words "Maa" and "Paa" into a single design with a Trishul. This is a great way to honor your parents with a unique and artistic symbol.
A unique take on a portrait, this video shows the process of inking a realistic eye tattoo on a client's chest. The detail in the iris and shading creates a striking and meaningful piece.
Sometimes a simple name is the most powerful tribute. This video shows the clean and precise application of a "Sonu" name tattoo on the client's chest.
About Portraits & Tributes
I always draft your portrait or tribute design using a thermal stencil first. This lets us check the placement on your skin and adjust the size until it looks perfect, long before the needle touches you. It is a big decision, so seeing the layout clearly helps you feel confident before we start the actual work.
Realism is about detail and patience. For portrait tattoos, I typically schedule a half-day session, which is 4 to 6 hours, to focus on the shading and skin texture that makes a face look alive. I use soft edge magnum needles to build those smooth gradients, especially when working on portraits of parents or tributes like the Maa-Paa combinations.
If you have a reference photo, send it over before we meet. I need to check the lighting and contrast in the image to see if it will translate well to skin. If the photo is too dark or blurry, I can suggest adjustments so the tattoo does not fade into a mess.
This is not just about ink, it is about honoring a relationship. Whether it is a realistic eye, a name, or a combination of religious symbols like a Trishul with a tribute, the process remains the same. We prioritize hygiene, professional glide, and precise line work to ensure the piece ages well. My base is in Ujjain, but I frequently host pop-ups in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. If you are outside Ujjain, reach out to check my travel dates so we can plan your session in your city.
