Art’s been flowing in my blood for generations. My grandmother started this tradition, my mom carried it forward, and now it’s my turn to share it. For me, Tanjore painting isn’t just about creating something pretty - it’s a slow, mindful process that feels almost sacred. I love seeing how even folks who say “I can’t draw” end up surprising themselves.

What Happens in Class

We start from scratch, so you don’t need any drawing skills. I break things down step by step - from the first pencil lines to the final brushstroke. Here’s what we do:

• Sketch the outline and prep the base
• Learn traditional muck work (that’s the 3D embossing bit)
• Add those royal touches with Kundan stones and crystals
• Apply real 24k gold foil - this is the part everyone gets excited for
• Paint and shade, focusing on those tiny details that make Tanjore art pop

How You Can Join

You can come to my studio in Basavanagudi (Bangalore) and work alongside other learners, or join our online classes from anywhere. Online, I make sure every technique is easy to follow and you can go at your own pace.
