Session Details
- Format: Single focused session (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours).
- Goal: Step-by-step guidance to walk in empty-handed and walk out with a finished piece.
- Themes: Rotating topics like Landscapes, Mandalas, Fabric Painting, or seasonal crafts (Diya/Clay).
Material Policy
- Masterclasses: Materials are generally excluded (student brings canvas/paints).
- Craft Workshops: Basic materials for items like clay or pot painting are often included.
- Tools: Students are advised to bring their own basic brushes and rags.
Comprehensive Painting Course (Acrylics or Watercolors)
Course Structure
- Duration: 18 Hours total (typically 9 sessions of 2 hours or 6 sessions of 3 hours).
- Class Size: Small group setting (4 to 6 people) for personalized mentorship.
- Specialization: Choose between Acrylics (layering, texture) or Watercolors (washes, brush control).
Output & Curriculum
- Deliverables: Completion of 2 distinct A3 size paintings (Canvas or 300 GSM paper).
- Skills: Covers color theory, perspective, light/shadow, and composition.
- Materials: Excluded. Students must procure their own art supplies based on the provided list (est. cost INR 1,500 - 2,000).
Traditional Indian Art (Tanjore & Kerala Mural)
Art Forms
- Options: Tanjore Painting (Embossing & Gold Foil), Kerala Mural, or Madhubani.
- Duration: Flexible pacing, typically requiring 25 to 30+ hours depending on intricacy.
Technique & Process
- Preparation: Instruction on traditional board preparation, canvas mounting, and muck work.
- Detailing: specialized techniques for applying gold foil, stone setting, and fine feature painting.
Costs
- Materials: Excluded. Traditional kits are specific and costly (Tanjore kits approx. INR 2,500 - 4,000).
- Reference: Traditional sketches and tracing sheets are provided.
Professional Art Teacher Certification
Curriculum Scope
- Training: 36 Hours of intensive instruction.
- Mediums: Covers 7+ mediums including Watercolors, Acrylics, Oil, Charcoal, Graphite, and Soft Pastels.
- Pedagogy: Training on teaching methodologies, curriculum planning, and 2D/3D design concepts.
Deliverables
- Portfolio: Creation of a substantial body of work including 1 Large Canvas (20x24), 2 A3 Canvases, professional sketches, and fabric painting.
- Outcome: Course completion certificate and career guidance for setting up personal classes.
- Materials: Excluded. Students build their own professional artist kit.

How You Can Join
- In-person group classes at Chandapura, Bangalore. The studio is kafi chill (very relaxed), and you get to meet other art lovers.
- Online painting sessions. Distance doesn't matter - I've had students from Spain, Poland, Germany... art connects us all.
- Masterclass option for busy bees. Paint a full artwork in about 2.5 hours.

- Beginner sketching lessons: pencil, charcoal, color pencil, shading.

My Story
Hey, we’re RangSangam Art School. Painting is our chill pill, really. Nothing beats that calm after finishing something huge, like our 6x7 feet Pichwai painting - pura maza aaya (it was pure fun). Started RangSangam to spread this joy. Our studio’s not just ours, it’s a place for everyone - teens, adults, even retired doctors and officers. We’ve got folks joining online from Poland, Germany, Spain, all learning with us. Seeing students grow, like one who now teaches art in Bengaluru, makes us super proud. We just want you to find your creative spark.
