About Tanjore Paintings for Sale
Why I Make Tanjore Paintings
Tanjore painting isn’t just art for me - it’s family, memory, and something spiritual. Amma started this in our home 40 years ago and taught me everything. Every painting is personal, meant to be part of your home for years, like it’s always been there.
What You’ll Find
- I keep a mix of ready pieces at our Basavanagudi studio - Ganesha, Lakshmi, Saraswati, and others. These are all original, made using the same old-school methods.
- Want something specific? I’ll work with you to create custom deity Tanjore paintings for your pooja room or a special wall. Some people come with a clear idea, others just a feeling - both are welcome.
How Each Painting Happens
- Slow, detailed work is what matters. We use real 24K gold foil (no shortcuts), Kundan and Swarovski stones, and our own handmade embossing paste for the raised details.
- The process goes step by step: sketching, setting stones, gold, painting. Finishing the eyes of the deity is the best part - that’s when the piece feels alive.
Something for Everyone
- I love working on big mythological themes (like Srinivasa Kalyanam), matching sets for pooja rooms, and even mixing styles - think Tanjore with a bit of Pichwai for a unique Shrinathji.
- Pretty much any deity you have in mind, I can paint.
Trust & Tradition
Everything I make carries our family’s 40-year promise of authenticity. Every piece comes with a certificate, so you know it’s the real thing.

My Story
Hey, I’m Vibha. Grew up with Tanjore paintings everywhere - family legacy, you know? My mum, grandma, and now me, all hands dipped in gold foil and colours. Our studio, Tanjore Collective, sits right in Bangalore. Watching students—kids, aunties—find their spark, that’s magic. Once, we made a 6-foot Gajalakshmi for Tirupati temple. Still can’t believe it. This art, it’s more than paint. It’s pure joy, divine.
