About Behind the Decks
When you book me, I do not just show up and plug in. I bring a professional Pioneer DJ controller and a MacBook running Serato, and I arrive 45 minutes early for a full sound check. If your venue has their own mixer, I am ready to patch in with my sound card and cables to ensure the transition from the speeches to the dance floor is seamless.
My philosophy behind the decks is simple: read the room and keep the energy moving. Since 2010, I have learned that the music is the journey, and my setup is designed to make that journey smooth for everyone.
The Gear I Bring
I use a professional Pioneer DDJ controller coupled with a MacBook Pro running Rekordbox and Serato. My library is stored in high-quality 320kbps MP3 and WAV formats, so the bass hits clean whether we are in a quiet villa or a high-energy club. I bring all the necessary cables, including RCAs, XLRs, and 1/4 inch jacks, to connect into any standard house sound system in Mumbai.
My VDJ Approach
For those who want more than just audio, I offer a full VDJ (Visual DJ) experience. This involves mixing live music videos and custom graphics in sync with the beats. It adds a visual dimension that keeps guests engaged, which is why I often bring my own projector and screen setup for a complete audio-visual show.
Preparing for Your Event
Before the music starts, I always hold a consultation to go over your 'Do Play' and 'Don't Play' lists. Whether you want a strictly 90s Bollywood retro night, high-energy House, or a mix of commercial Punjabi hits, we define the vibe early. On the day, I show up early to calibrate the levels and ensure the microphone is tuned for any announcements or karaoke moments you might need.
